Forklift Driver Training
Under current Health and Safety legislation employers have a legal responsibility to provide adequate training and information for all employees (both new and existing), who are required to operate powered equipment under P.U.W.E.R. regulations.
Arranging the appropriate training for employees can sometimes be confusing when trying to estimate the level of training required. This could prove costly if the wrong level of training is selected.
A certificate alone will not meet your legal obligations, unless supported by comprehensive training records. You will be required to provide proof that the training was adequate, and has met the standards outlined in the HSE Approved Code of Practice.
The Health and Safety Commission currently recognises AITT/ITSSAR as competent to accredit and monitor organisations to train instructors and to train, test and certificate operators.
Geolift Ltd. offer courses run by AITT/ITSSAR accredited instructors on a large range of industrial materials handling equipment including, Counterbalance, Reach, Bendi, Pedestrian, Sideloader, Multi-directional, Narrow Aisle, Telescopic and Masted Rough terrain, HIAB, Skidsteer and Loading shovel. All courses comply with current legislation and meet all the Approved code of practice requirements. We also offer courses in abrasive wheels and manual handling (Lifting).
Length of courses will be governed by the number and experience of the candidates. Please feel free to call or email for any advice or help your may need to ensure that you are doing all that you need too, to comply with current legislation.
